2012-09-02 12:29

Johannesburg - Traffic is being diverted in Johannesburg because of a jazz concert at Zoo Lake, Johannesburg metro police said on Sunday.

Chief Superintendent Wayne Minnaar said Jan Smuts Avenue had been closed off between St Andrews and Bolton road in Parktown.

"Motorists are advised to use Oxford Road until the barricades are removed at 18:00 (tonight)," he said.

Ridiculous! Quickly running out to the shop at KIllarney turned out into a nightmare. Took me 45 min in back routes only to find another police barricade at the top of Jan Smuts only to be told that I needed a f.....ing disc if I want to get to my house.WTF? Are residents suppose to smell this weeks before? BAD organizing from your side. I hope it starts raining...

If you don't listen to 94.7 Highveld radio or 702 which I don't blame you then you would not have heard about this. Evidently it is a yearly noise for those who like the noise they call music.
