KZN trio arrested at toll plaza

Durban - Three men were arrested for an armed robbery near the Mariannhill toll plaza on Wednesday morning, KwaZulu-Natal police said.

"We recovered 21 boxes of flexout for cutting steel and stones, boxes of cobra wall outlet elbow fittings and boxes of window handles when we arrested the men," Captain Thulani Zwane said.

The men aged between 27 and 31 years were loading goods into a vehicle near the Pinetown off-ramp on the N3 freeway when they were questioned by police.

They failed to account for their ownership of the goods and were arrested.

When they were taken to the Pinetown police station police found out that a 49-year-old man had opened a case of armed robbery at )2:00.

The men were expected to appear in the Pinetown Magistrate's Court soon.
