Kotze’s ex doing motivational talks

Johannesburg - Modimolle resident Ina Bonnette, who was allegedly assaulted by her estranged husband Johan Kotze earlier this year, has started doing motivational talks, according to a report on Monday.

"I'm very booked up, and very motivated," she told Beeld newspaper.

Bonnette, 42, was allegedly tied up and raped in Kotze's home, on January 3, by three men who were hired by her estranged husband.

After being gang-raped, he allegedly tortured and mutilated her, before allegedly shooting dead her 19-year-old son, Conrad.

Bonnette delivered her first motivational talk at a music festival outside the Limpopo town of Modimolle, which was organised by one of her friends to collect the approximately R65 000 she needed for several reconstructive surgery procedures.

Bonnette will give at least three other motivational talks this year, in Pretoria, Randburg and George.

Kotze is due to appear in court again on May 11.

why may i ask is the word "allegedly" used so many times?? - 2012-03-05 11:20

they have to say alleged, so that this guy isnt tried in the press... also court proceeding are still ongoing, so the media is just being careful

Because it is an allegation until it has been proven in the court of law. The evidence provided will turn an allegation into a reality - then the gavel falls - life imprisonment for the monster !!!! hope that helps

      Stan - 2012-03-05 11:24

because nothing has been proven yet. it's precautionary language used in the media in line with 'innocent until proven guilty' mantra...

      @ E=MC2 innocent until proven guilty,that's just a technicality.

At least she isn't allegedly doing motivational talks.

Well done Bonette - Moving from a visctim to survivor is a positive step. There are a lot people sitting in these kind of relationships not knowing the way out or hoping it will get better soon. A bit of motivation will help. Well done !!!!
