Cape Town firefighters continue to battle a fire that has spread across the south peninsula.

Cape Town firefighters will continue their efforts through the night to extinguish a blaze that has been burning for nearly three days.

With the help and generosity of residents around the peninsula, donations of all sorts have been flooding drop-off centres.

Those wishing to still assist can either donate non-perishable goods or food vouchers. Cash donations are also welcomed.

For emergencies call 107 from a landline or 021 480 7700 from a cellphone.

The Cape of Good Hope SPCA is also on stand-by to assist with any animals found injured by the fire. The Cape of Good Hope SPCA can be contacted on 021 700 4159/8.
