Johannesburg - Four men accused of raping a teenager and her mother were denied bail by the Vuwani Magistrates' Court on Monday, Limpopo police said.

The four, aged between 22 and 24, would appear again on January 12, Lieutenant Colonel Ronel Otto said.

They were arrested on Thursday after they allegedly raped the 18-year-old and her 36-year-old mother at their home in Lwamondo village, Vuwani.

"It is alleged the suspects gained entrance to the victim's house after forcing open the window."

The group also stole a cellphone, cash and clothing. They face charges of rape and house robbery.
