Johannesburg - A Limpopo court has sentenced a Mozambican man to life imprisonment after he was found guilty of killing a man and cutting off his hands and genitals to sell as muthi, police said on Wednesday.

Nkovani Samson Majoko, 36, lured his victim, John Miyambo, 35, from Mozambique to his home in the Xiphuraphuleni informal settlement in Malamulele last year with the promise of a job, spokesperson Colonel Ronel Otto said.

Majoko was arrested in the Malamulele area in June last year after he tried to sell Miyambo's hands and genitals, which he had kept in a bag.

On Tuesday, the Limpopo High Court sitting in Makhado found him guilty of murder and sentenced him to life imprisonment.
