Limpopo pastor arrested for raping teen

2012-01-01 20:00

Johannesburg - A 50-year-old Limpopo pastor has been arrested for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl, the SABC reported on Sunday.

Warrant Officer Mothemane Malefo said the pastor allegedly lured the girl to his home under the pretext of praying for her in August and September last year where he reportedly raped her several times.

Malefo said on Sunday that the pastor was in custody and was expected to appear in court on Tuesday.

Terrible. Probably another self-appointed holy man. Unfortunately the media cannot distinguish between those who call themselves pastors and those who are qualified.

      Amen Nkosi

And that makes this all the more palatable how?

  • goyougoodthing - 2012-01-01 20:10

A girl? Makes a change for a priest.

      barry.mcbride - 2012-01-01 21:19

LOL, that is sick but so true!

      keith.staniford - 2012-01-01 21:39

A pastor is not a priest you ignorant prick!!

      Gregory Jurgens - 2012-01-02 06:16

@Keith . U obviously a Christian. I can tell by ur insulting attitude. I am sure your god will forgive you as well as the perverted pastor .

  • TrueTenacity - 2012-01-01 20:35

    SICK... Just plain sick...

  • rbczovczov - 2012-01-01 20:37

Another douchebag doing his part to tarnish the image of Christianity. I am sure there is a special place in hell reserved for his kind, after Bubba is through with him in prison first.

      George - 2012-01-02 00:16

      call it a hell hole

Maybe he also believes in a "stortkop" shower.

      Phill - 2012-01-02 11:09

You got the point namesake (mine is spelt with double 'l'). The similairity is so striking - the age difference, his house, probably a kanga and so on. The only diffrence is that he is not a tsunami. Cry, the beloved country!

  • Cracker - 2012-01-01 21:33

let us for a moment assume that the details (alleged) surfaced when it became apparent that the complainant was pregnant. Now, why did the divine assembly line not take care of the situation and not allowed the new assembly of a human life? Just asking.

      Gregory Jurgens - 2012-01-02 08:43

Good question. Any Christians got any devine wisdom on this one. Or did Jesus die on the cross so this pastor can be forgiven for his perverted sins.

      AyGeeWils - 2012-01-02 10:22

He answered that for you - if you cared to read it -"It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea, than that he would cause one of these little ones to stumble." Judge for yourself ...

Why do most pastors use the name of the Lord for selfish reasons? If they are not raping they are looting from the poor to sustain their children's drinking and smoking habits. Women must be very much careful not to be tricked by these mercenaries of satan. There are many churches in Limpopo that always lure women to sexual abuse in the name of prayer. Who should these kids trust? They can' trust pastors, police, teachers, uncles, neighbours, ward councillors etc.

      Well said tshivo.

  • Anza Zokufa - 2012-01-02 00:19

  • Mantsho - 2012-01-02 02:10

Lord have mercy. There is no one left to trust in this world.

  • claudette - 2012-01-02 02:31

Maybe the world is coming to an end now who would have thought, the Pastor being involved in committing such a disgusting and sinful thing or is it because he's hoping to ask the Lord for forgiveness. Wow what a shame!!

  • Johan - 2012-01-02 05:54

    Like animals!

      Consolata Lodya - 2012-01-02 07:40

Please dont compare these creatures to animals cos its an insult to animals. When have you ever heard of animals raping?

      claudette - 2012-01-02 08:46

I agree with Consolata, 100 percent right

  • Gregory Jurgens - 2012-01-02 06:23

A 50 year old pervert. Reckon the almighty all seeing eye of the man in the sky will forgive him. I sure as well won't . All christians please pray for your perverted role models. Ask your god to please give your pastors and priests the strength to keep their bible clutching hands off the little boys and girls.

  • AyGeeWils - 2012-01-02 08:34

Having experienced the aftermath of this dreadful act in others - and along with the abuse of women and children I cannot hesitate but to support the death penalty, or at least life without parole, for this sort of crime.

  • daniel.w.gie - 2012-01-02 09:12

is this a joke .....what evidence ? hearsay , is there grounds that he has done this to others , many good guys have had their lives ruined by false accusations , the law has to tread carefully here . I am not condoning the action , merely wondering why this has taken so long to be reported .

      AyGeeWils - 2012-01-02 09:57

Daniel - certainly, he is innocent until proven guilty. For the guilty there can be no place in society - what will stop them re-offending?

  • daniel.w.gie - 2012-01-02 09:20

Do you guys remember the school teacher whose life was ruined by 2 young scoolgirls who accused him of rape etc , ended his life in the end by blowing his brains out ..... tread carefully .....

      Gregory Jurgens - 2012-01-02 09:44

One isolated incident can ever justify this bible clutching perverts deeds. God should strike him down now and cast him into the bowels of hell.

      Azande - 2012-01-02 10:42

@daniel, good heads up there. We will keep that in mind before judging. @Atheitis, I have noticed the passion and emotional outburst from your comments when you rubbish Christianity. Do you remember "Saul story" in the bible? See you in your next life when you have been enlightened.

  • Peter - 2012-01-02 10:14
