About the only speedy decision we get out of our courts these days is a postponement. Next he will claim he did not have the right to a speedy trial.

      asdhasgd - 2012-11-30 11:37

      haha nice one

      gordon.trevat - 2012-11-30 11:47

This is just to give him time to see if Motlanthe takes over. If he does, juju will be a made man and these charges will disappear. Sounds a lot like the mafia doesn't it.......

      jono.qmann - 2012-11-30 11:47

and i am pretty sure something is going to get "missplaced" or something and then it is a miss trail! cant we just throw all of them back on robben island! we shall call it...nkandla island!

      lownabester - 2012-11-30 11:57

Or get a new lawyer, Please keep him away from News24 until then.

      beverly.young3 - 2012-11-30 11:59

I think this is very funny, that is why he was so calm. Anyway, by the time it does go to court, we will all be at least 10 years older. The court will burn down, the documents will be lost, the lawyers will leave the country. eish

      junaid.vanderwalt - 2012-11-30 11:59

Our courts are a joke, they should have gathered all evidence and it should take them a month to finalise the case.

      aniken.vader.31 - 2012-11-30 12:03

we should now all do money laundry and crime because we can get away with it for a few decades. After which we will be found guilty, but then we will be so rich that we can then afford to pay corrupt judges and then we can STILL get away with it LOL....

      ingrid.krebsgermann - 2012-11-30 12:06

Which will be the lesser of two evils Malema or Zuma , unfortunately we will be stuck with one or the other.

      johan.jacobs.5680 - 2012-11-30 12:36

He better behave himself.till the next hearing.

      john.matuludi.3 - 2012-11-30 12:40

Bwaaaaaaaaaaaaa. They are only waiting for the nkandla prison to get completed before they prosecute him .

      NickvanGraan - 2012-11-30 12:52

April next year??? That is nearly half a year away!! Why? This is going to become another "Jub Jub" trial that drags on for years.

      louwhan.hoffmann - 2012-12-01 00:12

Why did they not just move the trial to the first of April? Make it more obvious for the masses. JokeĀ“s been on us for a while now...

  • Rabbler.Rouser - 2012-11-30 11:35

Nice. So Malema is being charges for racketeering as well. So that confirms that he is a crook.

      jurie.nel.3 - 2012-11-30 12:13

RabbleRouser, remember it is only a charge as yet. A finding of "guilty" will confirm what we all believe -- that he is a crook. Opinionater, you had me caught fair and square! I shall now take my blood pressure tablet and think of a reply to you. Enjoy your weekend!

      kala.bafazi - 2012-11-30 12:22

      Stupid indeed Opinionator. Well done!

  • nomcebo.k.kubheka.3 - 2012-11-30 11:36

I sure hope this will be his last Christmas as a free man, but than again this is S.A. sad reality money talks!

      Erna - 2012-11-30 12:25

Unfortunately, in SA you become president.

  • charlesdumbwin.dumbwin - 2012-11-30 11:37

I hope these 'leader of the black youth' will be shown for the thief he is and all the youth will look elsewhere for their 'saviour'. It's time to cut ties with this corrupt ANC regime and its corrupt Youth League leaders. IT'S TIME FOR THE DA. YES WE CAN!

  • deon.rossouw.56 - 2012-11-30 11:38

    No bodyguards anymore?

      jurie.nel.3 - 2012-11-30 12:14

The camera lens was too small to fit them in.

      dave.elmore.5 - 2012-11-30 12:23

Looks like julius chowed them all

  • magda.harmse - 2012-11-30 11:38

Yes why not... Give him more time... Give him time to swindle his way out of it... Go ahead... DO IT!

  • gavin.taylor.79 - 2012-11-30 11:39

Does it take so long to lose a file ....?

  • bullardx - 2012-11-30 11:43

Or maybe the judges and lawyers didnt feel Malema is not worth their time as much as he is not worth a human life.

      jurie.nel.3 - 2012-11-30 12:15

I can't figure out what you actually mean. Too many negatives there.

  • corrupt.anc.3 - 2012-11-30 11:44

Why are court cases postponed so frequently in SA?

      darryl.maze1 - 2012-11-30 12:18

Because its a money making scheme. The longer they drag it out the more money they make. Making money is more important than human life. If it was in the states julius would've been in court max two weeks and then sent straight to jail. Our courts in SA are a laughing stock to the whole world.

      nicolas.gombert.16 - 2012-11-30 12:35

This is how our dysfunctional legal system (??) works. The legal vultures control it to maximise their profits. I just paid R7 000 to a attorney and she achieved absolutely NOTHING! Quick to charge for each and every email, telephone call and page read, mostly to get her to DO SOMETHING. The Law Society doesn't work either as they will only take action against one of their members (no prize for guessing on which side they are on)if there is gross theft or fraud. If the legal fraternity had to operate like any other business, they will be out of business in no time.

  • sthembiso.jali.50 - 2012-11-30 11:44

Come april the case will be thrown out of court due to lack of valid evidence. Politician are above the law.

  • manamela.moshe - 2012-11-30 11:52

the case has been postponed until next year in april. And again it will be postponed till 2014 after the general elections.hmmm how gud are the courts under the democratic country.

  • manamela.moshe - 2012-11-30 11:56

its seems night vigil works neh! i remember Zuma's supporters holding night vigil ko court. now where is the case? under the bridge. Same as Juju's case it will go down the drain.

  • jason.marshall.1804 - 2012-11-30 12:00

On what grounds? Surely there must be a reason. Maybe to stuff the turkey even more....

  • linda.sibane - 2012-11-30 12:01

Its gona be postponed till he runs out of cash , thats how SA operates , they milk you once you run out of money they then give 45yrs in jail

  • linda.sibane - 2012-11-30 12:01

it will be postponed till he runs out of cash

      maria.roth.589 - 2012-11-30 13:15

      We hope so linda.

  • annelise.vanderschyff - 2012-11-30 12:02

  • michael.i.wright - 2012-11-30 12:05

  • hezekiel.lefopane - 2012-11-30 12:06

That's good for Juju and a nightmare for others!!!!

  • Brad - 2012-11-30 12:10

  • dragonfire47 - 2012-11-30 12:13

Lock the fat infant up and deny the thing bail, how much is this BS gonna cost us tax payers

  • furlong.lubisi.7 - 2012-11-30 12:14

Why not postponed to 2020. Jub jub case is more than 2years now.

  • richard.zanner - 2012-11-30 12:15

His only hope is that Zuma does not make it. As much as I dislike Zuma, I would hate to see Malema get political favours like the rest of them.

  • MrDinwiddie - 2012-11-30 12:15

Giving him enough time to establish his political party so the charges can be dropped due to political interference

  • nhlapop - 2012-11-30 12:18

Exatly what happend to Zuma's case.

  • carl.debeer.52 - 2012-11-30 12:31

There we go judicial system failed us again...can anyone with a law degree tell me why we dont convict him and place him behind bars for one crime. Then once he is sitting in prison add all the other crimes...so he can wait in prsion for his next trial and not drive around in all his fancy cars and stay in a nice mansion.

  • dm.farmerjoe - 2012-11-30 12:49

    april fool

  • ryan.macquet - 2012-11-30 12:50

  • vivian.harris.73 - 2012-11-30 12:57

They hoping he gets a life threatening illness over the festive season so they can ask for medical parole and walk free???

  • SarelJBotha - 2012-11-30 13:02

Yet again a fail on the books of the legal system. What has happened to justice being dispensed in a reasonable time.

  • Don.Tandy - 2012-11-30 13:06

Any reasons??? My guess is that once again the legal system has fallen over.

  • richard.lemmer1 - 2012-11-30 13:24

THROW THE BASTARD IN JAIL !!!!!!

  • tshepo.phasha1 - 2012-11-30 13:34

  • peter.jefferies.90 - 2012-11-30 13:46

  • renier.lubbe.7 - 2012-12-01 19:26

Malema also claims that he will be a political prisoner. Again trying to mislead his followers. Since when is illegally enriching oneself a political crime?
