Man accused of killing wife with pick

Johannesburg - A 45-year-old man appeared in the Naphuno Magistrate's Court on Monday for allegedly murdering his wife with a pick, Limpopo police said.

Rebecca Magaga, also 45, died after the attack in Serare village, Maake, on Saturday, Lieutenant Colonel Mohale Ramatseba said in a statement.

The case against William Malatji was postponed to January 16. He would remain in custody.

    A 'pick' ? Surely it is a pick-axe, which is a 'pik' in Afrikaans. However the crime remains heinous.
