Cape Town - A 32-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a mob justice incident which led to the death of a man whose badly burnt body was found in Mfuleni last month.

The suspect is expected to appear in the Blue Downs Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, said police spokesperson Constable Noloyiso Rwexana.

The victim's body was found in Nkonjani Street, Mfuleni - which is about 40km from Cape Town - on September 7.

“The body of a man aged about 25-years-old was found naked with burn marks on his body,” Rwexana said.

“During investigations police learnt that the deceased was kidnapped from Burundi Squatter Camp.”

The suspect has been charged with kidnapping and murder.

The incident was one of two suspected mob justice attacks reported that day.

A 21-year-old man was later found dead at the corner of Nqubelani and Tokwana streets. He had been beaten to death.
