Man arrested for murder in Centane

King William's Town - A 26-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of another man in Centane on Saturday, Eastern Cape police said.

"It is alleged that a group of young men were enjoying themselves at a certain homestead at Singeni Location,  Xhobani Village, Centane... at about 02:00," Captain Jackson Manatha said.

"The suspect and the deceased had a misunderstanding that led to the fatal stabbing of the deceased on his upper body."

The 30-year-old man who was stabbed died on the scene.

The knife that was used was recovered when the 26-year-old was arrested.

He is expected to appear in the Centane Magistrate's Court on Monday.
