Man arrested in East Rand drug bust

Johannesburg - A man was arrested when he was found in possession of drugs with an estimated street value of R80 000 in Benoni, on the East Rand, on Tuesday, police said.

Captain Mack Mngomezulu said the 32-year-old Nigerian man was found with packets of drugs in his rented room in Northmead.

"They found shopping bags with plenty of small bags containing a white substance, pink tablets which were narcotics, ecstasy, rocks [and] empty spice bottles."

The man was expected to appear in the Benoni Magistrate's Court on Wednesday.

    Drugs - they are like an eraser to a pencil, they erase love, money respect and families. A person caught in this act should not be allowed in society they should be banished to a work farm where they do hard labour every day to provide food for the families that are poor. This should be their punishment untill they die.

    Throw this cr*p out of RSA. They are disgusting thugs, drug dealers and we don't want them in our country. Maybe, just maybe the crime rate will decrease slightly.
