Man caught with tik in gear lever

Cape Town - A man has been arrested in Saldanha, Cape Town, for possession of tik with a street value of R300 000, Western Cape police said on Thursday.

Captain Frederick van Wyk said the man, 30, was stopped in his black Volkswagen Golf in a roadblock on Wednesday afternoon.

He said a narcotics dog found 150g of tik hidden in the gear lever.

The man would appear in the Vredenburg Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.

    I am getting very scared. Where the hell am I going to hide my tik if the dogs are no checking the gear levers. I thought my peg leg was a safe place.

    R 300 000 for 150grams... Thats R 2000/gram? I think this value has been exaggerated. Tik is supposedly a "cheap drug" which is why it is such a propblem
