Johannesburg - A Gauteng man is in a critical condition
after his vehicle veered off Monkey Mountain near Fochville on Friday afternoon,
paramedics said.
The 28-year-old was found inside his car which had come
to a stop down the embankment against trees and rocks a distance away from the
road, ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said.
"After paramedics and rescue services had made their
way down the embankment, they found the driver lying trapped in a critical
condition."
The man was removed from the vehicle and treated with
advanced life support. He was then airlifted to Baragwanath Hospital for
further treatment.
Meiring said the cause of the collision was not clear.
