Man dies in horror Durban accident

Johannesburg - A man died and six others were seriously injured when a taxi and bakkie collided on Inanda Road near the SPCA in Durban early Sunday morning, paramedics said.

Netcare 911 paramedics arrived on the scene and found the road blocked by accident debris and the twisted frames of the two cars, Netcare 911 spokesperson Chris Botha said.

Paramedics from various services stabilised the six seriously injured people on scene before they were taken to hospital for further treatment.

The accident happened around 05:00, with its cause being unknown.

Police were investigating.
