Johannesburg - A man was detained at OR Tambo International Airport on Thursday after cocaine was found strapped to his feet, the SA Revenue Service (SARS) said.

SARS customs officials stopped the man, who was disembarking from a flight from Sao Paulo, Brazil, and he was taken for questioning and a body search, spokesperson Marika Muller said.

"The search found the passenger was carrying 215g of cocaine, valued at R58 502, strapped to the soles of his feet."

In August SARS Customs prevented over 26kg of cocaine, valued at just over R7.5m, from entering South Africa.

In addition, 35.5kg of tik, valued at R10.6m, was also seized.

"Strapped to the soles of his feet"....WOW!! 10 out of 10 for having balls of steel and 0 out of 10 for originality. I still cant believe that one would strap coke to the soles of their feet and think that they are not going to get caught. Talk about getting high on your own supply!!
