Man held for executing family

2011-10-03 12:18

Johannesburg - A man was arrested on Monday for the murder of a couple and their teenage son, in De Deur, south of Johannesburg, said Gauteng police.

The 20-year-old man, who was the son of the family's domestic worker, was arrested at a nearby plot, said Brigadier Anton du Bruyn.

All the victims were shot dead.

"Their bodies were found at their house on a Walkerville smallholding on Sunday afternoon," said Du Bruyn.

"The security door was opened. There was blood on the floor in almost all the rooms."

The body of Giraldine Viana, 46, was found in the main bedroom, he said.

She was raped before being shot dead.

Her husband Tony, 50, was shot dead in the lounge. He was found on his stomach with his hands tied behind his back.

The body of their 13-year-old son Amaro was found in the bath with his hands tied behind his back. He was a Grade 7 pupil at Linmeyer Primary School.

Police believed they were killed on Saturday night.

The man was charged with three counts of murder, rape, theft of a motor vehicle and house robbery.

He would appear in the Vereeniging Magistrate's Court soon, said Du Bruyn.

spot on ,get the evidence you need ,dont botch anything and make 100 % sure he is guilty and kill him , a court case will be a drawn out affair and a waste of time and money.

This needs government attention and the government is embroiled in tribal and ethnic chaos. What ever is done is to benefit someone somewhere, our people are dying, our country is controlled by the chinese. our children exposed to the horrors of the world. Is it a curse to be African?

      blacksonly - 2011-10-03 12:53

Well done to the SAPS for a sterling job!

      OldSA - 2011-10-03 12:32

We became so complacent that we think the police are good when they catch the criminals. Wrong!!!! they should be preventing criminals from doing such acts.

      Mom & Moody - 2011-10-03 12:37

Please this should have been prevented!!!!

  • DSG - 2011-10-03 12:28

he probably got a key from the domestic worker to open up the security door. I would rather clean my own place for that matter. Especially with all this balls happening in our country.

  • Steve Buys - 2011-10-03 12:29

good work cops , now let our courts sentennce him, and our jails keep him.

  • SA4SA - 2011-10-03 12:30

  • Bok Fan - 2011-10-03 12:31

Never have a maid aka domestic worker. Your family is at a higher risk of attack which is a fact. They secertly want what you have the whole time. Get rid of yours before its too late. Get off your ass and work!

  • Fredster69 - 2011-10-03 12:32

  • johnwilliam.roberts - 2011-10-03 12:39

this bastard should be taken outside and be burnt alive full stop !!! this is what we as whites can expect in the new south africa !!

  • Darwinian - 2011-10-03 12:40

I'm sure this boy's mother(domestic) told him where very room/security gate/entrance gate/ was. This domestic should be arrested and questioned too. Please people, by employing domestic workers IS NOT JOB CREATION!! I will go even that far, by saying that you are lazy! By doing your chores yourself, you will prevent future mishaps...

      Monica - 2011-10-03 13:00

You a right, work did not kill anyone and if you will go in Europe or America you will find million of people having a full time job, raising up children, cooking and doing all domestic work for themselves. We south Africans are not able to wash our own underwear in other words as you said above we are lazy.

  • Concernedkev - 2011-10-03 12:41

So I suppose this wasn't a horrid racist killing! Have we not gone backwards!! Face facts folks this is a open attack on whites! Let's get real!

  • Ya Beauty! - 2011-10-03 12:42

    Scum, kill him slowly....

  • Barry - 2011-10-03 12:43

We should re-introduce crucifixion as a deterrent for scum like this

  • Carl Muller - 2011-10-03 12:43

It is not murder, it is assassination!

  • So What? - 2011-10-03 12:43

@War Dog - spot on - when I served in the SAP it was common knowledge that information was passed on from the domestic or gardener. Often inadevertently when speaking to family obout what they did and what is there, but one never knows who is listening asd swallowing up all this information. And then of course, the day paths seperate there might be bad feelings and then loyalty goes out the door. Sadly many have good intentions when employing someone, but it can end off biting them in the butt.

  • Danie - 2011-10-03 12:44

Julius Malema needs to go on trial for this one as well..

  • BoneCollectR - 2011-10-03 12:46

  • TE-A - 2011-10-03 12:49

where is mob justice to sort out this scumbag for real..

  • jeremy - 2011-10-03 12:54

Well done to the cops for a quick arrest. If this creature is found guilty, I hope they throw away the key. No doubt someone like Realist or Siff will attribute this dreadful crime to "genocide." It's nothing of the sort. It's merely some disgusting little criminal taking out his frustrations on an easy target. I'm sure all of us, of all races, are equally disgusted and revolted at this vile act.

  • Davearch - 2011-10-03 12:54

Hey, where is Julius to protest this savagery .. and Winnie ?? Come on, show us you are leaders for ALL in SA .. after all, you abuse our TAX on a daily basis !!!

  • akaRags - 2011-10-03 12:55

This is when the death penalty NEEDS to be brought back - it's the only thing that will work at the moment, like it or not.

  • Greegs - 2011-10-03 12:56

And most people in SA have no time for people that leave the country. You will also be sworn at for coming back to this site. Basically, you have to grin and bear it in SA to be one of them. The minute you leave you become a traitor....
