Man killed, another injured in N3 crash

Durban - A man was killed and another person injured when their car rolled on the N3 south in Tweedie, Howick, late on Thursday evening, paramedics said.

"Paramedics arrived at the scene and found the roadway littered with accident debris and the twisted frame of the vehicle," Netcare 911 spokesperson Chris Botha said on Friday.

"The driver was ejected from the vehicle and sustained life threatening injuries, the passenger was found in a serious condition."

Soon after paramedics arrived the driver went into cardiac arrest and died on the scene, he said.

The injured passenger was taken to hospital for further treatment.

The cause of the accident was not known.
