Man killed in N Cape robbery

Johannesburg - A Bangladeshi man was shot dead, allegedly by two robbers, outside his shop in Galeshewe, Kimberley police said on Tuesday.

Warrant Officer Essie Esterhuizen said the 31-year-old was locking up his tuck-shop at 21:00 on Monday when two armed men confronted him.

A scuffle ensued and the man was shot. He died at the scene. The two fled with an undisclosed amount of money, airtime, and cigarettes.

No arrests had been made.
