Johannesburg - Three people were arrested for stabbing a man to death in Elliotdale, Eastern Cape police said on Monday.

The victim was with two companions who had a quarrel with the owner of a house where they were drinking beers on Sunday, said Major Zamukulungisa Jozana.

"The homeowner sought help from community members who approached the three men shortly after they left his house," said Jozana.

The three were attacked. Two men managed to escape, but the third was beaten and stabbed several times in the upper body. He died on the scene.

Community members alerted police to the incident and the 44-year-old house owner was arrested later.

Two other men, aged 28 and 53, were arrested on Monday morning and a manhunt has been launched for a fourth man.

They will appear in the Elliotdale Magistrate's Court on Tuesday to face a charge of murder.

I was thinking the same thing...we really need to learn to manage our anger. Killing over a disagreement makes no sense...
