Johannesburg - The Mandela family is united in their court action against George Bizos, Tokyo Sexwale, and Bally Chuene over Nelson Mandela's artworks, the New Age reported on Thursday.

Mandela's grandson Zondwa said on Wednesday the former president's immediate family was united on removing the trio from two companies managing the artworks, the newspaper reported.

"It would be important to note that the family is unified [in] the decision to litigate," Zondwa, son of Mandela's daughter Zinzi, said.

The New Age reported that Zinzi was not part of the court action launched by her sisters Zenani and Makaziwe.

Zenani and Makaziwe, supported by 17 family members, had filed an application at the South Gauteng High Court to remove Bizos, Sexwale, and Chuene from their directorships in Harmonieux Investment Holdings and Magnifique Investment Holdings.

The sisters had also indicated their intention to fight a previous court order which gave the former president the right to instruct lawyer Ismail Ayob to stop managing his financial, personal, and legal affairs.
