Cape Town - A march against poor service delivery in Cape Town has been called off, the organisers said early on Friday morning.

The march had been planned for Friday. Police were set to be out in full force.

But the organisers of the march said they would respect a Western Cape High Court ruling stating that the protest was illegal, eNCA reported.

They plan to reschedule the protest but no date has been set.

Last month protesters claiming to be part of a service delivery demonstration looted shops and vendors’ stalls in the Cape Town CBD.
