Mdluli won't stand trial for murder

2012-11-02 12:10

Johannesburg - There is no evidence linking suspended crime intelligence boss Richard Mdluli to the murder of his love rival, the Boksburg Magistrate's Court found on Friday.

This was the finding of magistrate Jurg Viviers.

The court found there was a plot against Mdluli.

The suspended crime intelligence boss’s lawyer Ike Motaung says Mdluli wants to return to the police as soon as possible - as head of crime intelligence, EWN quoted Motaung as saying.

Innocent until proven otherwise. The man has been proven to be innocent. Give Mdluli a Bells and his Job back.

      scouter.fourone - 2012-11-02 12:58

I think not maj - unless you are keen on seeing a Zimbabwe CIO styled organisation immerging out of this conivance .......

      Salute 2 that. Thatz justice!

      marius.a.visser - 2012-11-02 14:28

No...he was acquitted, there's a difference... Lack of evidence does not mean his innocent. These people are pro's at hiding evidence dont you think? How else would he be head of "lack of intelligence".

      gift.mushi.9 - 2012-11-02 16:19

Good for the comrade. But this chap looks like a criminal. what do you think forum?

  • richard.bosmano - 2012-11-02 12:22

Wow , if you a connected cadre you can get away with murder takes a new meaning

      michael.jackwood - 2012-11-02 13:12

when courts find caders guilty, courts are heroic and independent ne? stop being biased and respect outcomes by judiciary even if they are not in your favour.

      Well said Ivy, well said!!

  • flysouth - 2012-11-02 12:33

Justice delayed (deliberately in this case) is justice denied. As the judge pointed out, testimony of events more than 10 years ago is inherently unreliable. Thus a lot of the testimony which could have implicated this man has to be ignored. Surely we know by now that the first tactic of the ANC and it's connected people is to move and maneouvre by any means possible, for delays in court proceedings immediately a charge is laid?

  • musaaubrey - 2012-11-02 12:36

The court also found out that there is a plot against the spy boss, which could means that some other people can goes as far as taking an innocent life or taking advantage of a greiving family to tarnish someone's image.what a sick world.

      B.b. - 2012-11-02 13:07

  • magomarele - 2012-11-02 12:47

Why, why, why? I sense political interference. This bloody judge is crooked. Let the man stand trial and the truth will come out. Why hide the truth by denying Ramogibe's family closure? W need to know the truth.

  • ashleigh.ronaldon - 2012-11-02 12:48

  • smithfield.mpenvana - 2012-11-02 13:45

    Bless the Justice System!!

  • obadia.segwape - 2012-11-02 13:50

in fact who is guilty of crime in our country cause all anc members are always not guilty of any crime

      smithfield.mpenvana - 2012-11-02 13:56

@Obadia spoken like a true sell out......"they" will chow you and spit you out like a hot potato

  • Msika - 2012-11-02 14:01

We clearly cannot blame the judges on this one...They only work with the facts presented to them. Blame can be directed to the detectives/investigators who clearly failed to gather and present enough evidence, this ofcourse was caused by the fact that Mdluli and his accomplice distroyed most of the evidence.

      terrence.schwartz.1 - 2012-11-03 07:38

How do you know that Mdluli destroyed this evidence, it is your duty to back this up with facts, but of course you cant.

  • terrence.schwartz.1 - 2012-11-02 14:04

The General was tried by the Media - not supported by facts, that is why the Magistrate has found he does not have a case to answer. He is a career policeman with over 30 years service, not like the johnny come latelies who simply get appointed because of their connections, he is not the person portrayed in the media, I know, I worked with him in the early 90s.

  • Tshilidzi Wa Ha Mukhovha - 2012-11-02 14:14

Justice has been served, the judge decision is final. When one loose the case we celebrate with jubilation and when one win the case we get angry and said because he support these and that that's why he won the case. People Mdluli win and I celebrate with him.

  • Martin Mowayo - 2012-11-02 14:15

Let us respect the court's decision. He was suspended and cannot be linked with the crime. He deserves to be reinstated.

      sihlangu.hokweni - 2012-11-02 20:52
