Johannesburg - Power FM and Capricorn FM boss Given Mkhari has opened a case of extortion after a woman allegedly accused him of sexual assault and tried to get R20m out of him.

According to Sunday World, an extortion case is being investigated by the Randburg police. The woman, Ntombizakhe Yende, has however opened her own case of sexual assault at the Roodepoort police station.

Mkhari said the two met in October last year while Yende was working at a Sandton cellphone shop and asked Mkhari for a job at his communications company. He said she first applied for a job, then demanded a job, then asked for money, then demanded R20m.  He says that when he failed to give in to her demands she started fabricating stories, harassed him at work and threatened his colleagues and family.
But Yende says Mkhari is lying and that his lawyer is the one who has been offering her money to keep quiet. She refused to discuss the details of the sexual assault case.
