Men in court court for KZN murder

Johannesburg - Two men accused of murdering an induna appeared in the Louwsburg Magistrate's Court, in KwaZulu-Natal, on Monday, said police.

The case against Ngwephezi Sipho Mkhumalo, 42, and Timothy Bonguthini Sibiya, 25, was postponed to 24 July for bail application," said Captain Thulani Zwane.

Mkhumalo and Sibiya were arrested on Friday.

They allegedly killed Mpipiza Mncube, 79, an induna for the area of Ngome, east of Vryheid, after he left his home at 15:50 to look for his cattle in a nearby field on  9 July.

Mncube's body was later found by his family, who became concerned when he did not return, said Zwane.
