Johannesburg - Two men were killed and another critically injured in a head-on collision on the N4 near the Hendrina off ramp in Mpumalanga on Thursday, paramedics said.

ER24 spokesperson Derrick Banks said the accident happened around 08:45.

I think it is a bit of both Brandon, especially if one of the cars was travelling at high speed, the driver of the other car would not be able to judge the distance properly.

@MarkHiggens9 - So you dont think it was a problem that he was in the wrong lane to begin with? The depths of stupidity on this website baffle me. Whether your driving 10KM/H or 10000KM/H if your going in the wrong lane you will cause an accident, lets use some common sense

The obvious thng is tht one of the cars was in the wrong lane, nt becoz of overtaking (the road is a freeway) but lost control or somethng else. There is construction going on on tht part of n4, but tht cnot be an excuse coz ol the signs are clear. There waz a lot of mist though in the morning whn i was coming to work
