Men nabbed with drugs in East Rand

Johannesburg - Four men have been arrested for allegedly dealing in drugs in Boksburg on the East Rand, Ekurhuleni metro police said on Monday.

Police, acting on a tip-off, went to Waldorf Court flats where 31 packets of cat and crystal meth were seized on Sunday night. The estimated street value of the drugs was R600 000, Inspector Kobeli Mokheseng said.

Mokheseng said four men between the ages of 26 and 32 were taken into custody.

They would appear in the Boksburg Magistrate's Court on Tuesday facing charges of possession and dealing in drugs.

  Please don't generalise. This is happening across the globe, it is certainly not unique to Boksburg and might I add, not limited to impoverished communities either. It ruins young and old, rich and poor, at the receiving end of a joint or crack pot they look all the same.

  BTW some lady got caught last week for possession of drugs..guess where ou Boksburg. It makes sense as Boksburg is infested with dodgy night clubs.

  I cannot comment on the nightlife in Boksburg, sadly I'm too old, but maybe this says something about the conviction of our SAPS in the area? We all know more affluent areas have the same problem, however we hardly ever hear of arrests there?! Maybe the folks in Boksburg just don't have that kind of bribe money!
