Johannesburg - The trial of two people accused of the murder of Dustan Blom, whose body was found in a car boot in Johannesburg's Montecasino, is expected to continue in the South Gauteng High Court, sitting in Palm Ridge, on Friday.

Blom's body was found on September 22, 2013 by security guards who noticed a foul smell coming from a vehicle in the parking lot.

Maruschka Robinson was arrested on September 24 and JP Malan on September 26.

On Thursday, a former stripper friend of Robinson's testified that she and Blom had dated and that Robinson had told her that Blom was going to help her buy a car if she could prove she could save R10 000.

The court heard earlier this week that Blom started drinking excessively after his wife died during childbirth, and had been generous with his money at bars and restaurants.

The friend, who secured a court order to remain unnamed, alleged that Robinson and Malan had a "ridiculous amount" of drugs on them on one occasion that she spoke to them at Blom's house.
