Johannesburg  - Four more people accused of sexual offences against children appeared in the Plettenberg Bay Magistrate's Court on Thursday, police said.

"The arrests were made between 20:00 last night (Wednesday) and this morning at 01:00," Captain Malcolm Poje said.

Their arrests follow that of a 63-year-old man arrested last week in connection with sexual offences with between four to six girls over a four-year period.

The man has appeared in the Plettenberg Bay Magistrate's Court and was granted R500 bail.

Poje said last week that the man was arrested after affidavits were received from some of the minors.

Specialist police units raided his property with a helicopter due to the location.

At the time police said they also confiscated various DVDs and magazines containing pornographic material as well as clothing, letters and computer equipment.

The four, two men and two women, appeared in court and their case was postponed to October 14.
