Motlanthe to attend funeral of former Botswana VP

Johannesburg - Former deputy president Kgalema Motlanthe will travel to Botswana as a special envoy to represent President Jacob Zuma at the funeral of the country's former vice president, the presidency said on Friday.

Lieutenant General Mompati Sebogodi Merafhe died last week Wednesday and will be buried on Saturday.

Motlanthe would be accompanied by International Relations and Co-operation Deputy Minister Llewellyn Landers.
