Pietermaritzburg - A 15-year-old pupil who is charged with shooting dead a fellow pupil outside his school in Copesville last November, might enter into a plea and sentencing agreement with the State.

The Witness has confirmed that the pupil, who appeared in court briefly on Wednesday in connection with the murder of Akhona Nakile, 15, and attempted murder of Lindokuhle Thabethe, 17, is holding discussions with his attorney and family members about a possible plea bargain.

Before this can take place the court requires that he be interviewed by a social worker and/or a probation officer due to his young age.

The case was adjourned until July 15 pending further discussions.
