Johannesburg - Prasa chairperson Popo Molefe has opened a conspiracy to commit murder case with the police following reports that threats were being made on his life."I had received reports of a meeting that was held on May 30 where I was discussed at the meeting. They had checked my security and were satisfied that it is possible to remove me," Molefe told News24 on Wednesday."Since that meeting, I've observed strange behaviour [at the place where I live]. Recently security has been turning people away, people have come saying that they know me, wanting to be allowed in the complex. [I] observed it over a period of time and decided I have enough now to report this matter to the police."Molefe declined to identify the people he believed were involved in the conspiracy."You will see them when they appear in court."Gauteng police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Lungelo Dlamini confirmed that a case had been opened in Sandton on Tuesday."Yes I can confirm a case of conspiracy to commit murder was opened. It was opened in Sandton yesterday [Tuesday] and the docket was brought to Hillbrow today [Wednesday]," Dlamini said.
