In a post on Facebook, the service said that operations had been suspended on Circle East, Potsdam, Killarney, Du Noon, Usasaza bus stations.

Eyewitness News also tweeted a photo showing striking drivers holding a sit-in at the Du Noon bus station.

On Wednesday the strike turned violent in Du Noon and police had to use rubber bullets to disperse protesters, reported EWN.

The strike comes after wage talks with the vehicle operating company, Kidrogen, broke down.
