Nervous drug mule passes pills

2012-12-02 19:05

Johannesburg - A 26-year-old man has been arrested in Oudtshoorn after drugs were found in his colon, Western Cape police said on Sunday.

Police, acting on a tip-off, stopped a car on the N12 between Oudtshoorn and George on Saturday afternoon, said spokesperson Bernadine Steyn.

The vehicle was searched but no drugs were found.

The signs of nervousness prompted police to take the man to a local hospital, she said.

"X-rays were taken that revealed two bullets in the colon of one of the men that were passed spontaneously.

"A total of 99 Mandrax tablets and 4g of tik with an estimated street value of about R7 140 were seized," Steyn said.

Lol, in my native language we have a (metaphorical) phrase that translates to: 'you will $h¡t what you didn't eat!' and it sort of implies grave consequences for a misdeed. This guy just did it literally...

Lol in my native language we have a saying if you are afraid: jy bek*k jouself as jy skrik! That is what happend to this guy.

this guy was prob the distraction.....only 2 bullets....normally drug mules swallow about 12-15...wonder what and how much the real drug mule carried and the value ???

Yip...was definatley a decoy...the police celebrate meanwhile they letting someone with waaaaay more narcotics stroll thru...idiots

@Jarod. The police are probably aware of that but without the tipoff, there would ahve been no roadblock anyway. It is estimated that around the world, police confiscate about 10% of the drugs in circulation. They calculate drug use by taking what they caught and multiplying by 10. Sad but they do their best (mostly)

There should be no mercy for anyone dealing with drugs as it destroys many peoples lives and homes.

  • theMichaelHawthorne - 2012-12-02 20:40

      Gareth L Pieterse - 2012-12-02 20:58

They X-rayed because he looked nervous? Careful, all u guys learning to drive; u could wind up with a cavity search as part of the inspection test.

stick to natural stuff like cannabis - at least you can be confident that it hasn't been contaminated with ass juice, especially if you grow your own
