Johannesburg - A woman linked to murder, kidnapping and defeating the ends of justice was arrested in Taung on Wednesday, North West police said.

The murder victim, Baki Ntsie, 31, from Lokaleng village in Taung, was reported missing on 23 October, police spokesperson Pelonomi Makau said.

He was found floating in the Taung Dam on Sunday with his hands and feet tied.

The woman allegedly helped dispose of the body.

She was expected to appear in the Taung Magistrate's Court on Thursday.

Her arrest followed the court appearance of the man believed to have been the mastermind of the crime.

Boingotlo Oscar Gaoraelwe, 27, appeared in the same court on Wednesday on charges of murder, kidnapping and defeating the ends of justice.

He was expected to apply for bail on 6 November.
