PICS: Taxi smashes into 2 cars at Bloem petrol station

Bloemfontein - Seven people, including five children, were injured when a minibus taxi collided with two cars at a petrol station on Moshoeshoe Road in Bloemfontein on Thursday morning, paramedics said.

"The taxi allegedly lost control and collided with two stationary cars at a nearby petrol station. Amongst the injured were five children," ER24 spokesperson Pieter Rossouw said.

"Fortunately, all the patients only sustained minor injuries. ER24 paramedics treated and transported five patients to Palenomi Hospital for further treatment."

The remaining injured were taken by other services to the same hospital.

The cause of the accident was unknown.

Police were investigating.
