Pair nabbed for drugs in Eastern Cape

Johannesburg - Two men were arrested in Motherwell, Port Elizabeth, for possession of drugs with a street value of R5m, Eastern Cape police said on Wednesday.

Warrant Officer Dumile Gwavu said police received a tip-off about the drug consignment.

Police stopped a car in Addo Road, and found the drugs, including cocaine, in sealed food boxes.

Two men, aged 31 and 41, were arrested and the vehicle was seized.

The men will appear in court soon and investigations continue, Gwavu said.
