Pastor overpowers girl, then rapes her

Johannesburg - A pastor was arrested on Thursday for raping a 15-year-old girl in Butterworth, said Eastern Cape police.

The incident took place last Thursday near the Ibika informal settlement when the pastor allegedly lured the girl to a spot near an unused railway line, said Captain Jackson Manatha.

"She tried to run but the pastor overpowered her," said Manatha.

The 20-year-old pastor was charged with rape and will appear in the Butterworth Magistrate's Court on Monday.

There is no righteous man under the sun, not even one. Do not put your faith in a ordinary man, nor in a man of a profession.

So sad. I hope this young woman recovers from this traumatic ordeal. Hope the pastor goes to and stays in jail. What an abuse of a position of trust.

Where was Jesus - forgot to look after one of his flock

      Dakey - 2011-12-22 13:51

Where was God when Jesus was tortured and crucified? Perhaps every time we sin, God should smite us, but then that is a cruel and evil no? Living with adversity is part of life. It sucks I agree, but if Jesus gave his life for us, we can give our lives for our brothers.

  • Khabir - 2011-12-22 13:14

20 year old pastor?? really?? you got to be kidding!!

  • Dakey - 2011-12-22 13:37

I KNOW nine girls and a boy that were molested as children. None of these cases made headlines and in only one of these cases were criminal actions taken, which subsequently led to the father of one of the children to commit suicide. These cases were committed not by Pastors or clergymen, but by fathers, friends of the family and neighbours and teachers. This is frighteningly frequent. Don't let you children ever be unaccompanied by people you don't 100% trust and even then, try not to trust anyone with your kids.
