Very sad indeed but I can’t help but wonder what the chances were of him having been walking in the street at the time of being hit by a car? Last weekend whilst going around a bend, I came head to head with four ladies walking abreast each other taking over the whole road side of the road and can’t help but wonder what the headlines would read then and what people would say. The ladies just stood and looked at me and as I refused to go on the wrong side of the road so the ladies would continue their casual walk I put my hands up in the air and said “what are you doing, get out the road”? Boy did they give me a mouthful, yes, like you won’t believe, um, okay, let me drive on the pavement then.I appreciate an investigation for this case still needs to be investigated, as my case would have needed to have been investigated if I hit and killed those four ladies.

The M2 is a major highway - pedestrians shouldn't be on there in the 1st place especially at night when visability is poor.

ER24 said they have been called out to 16 pedestrian accidents in past 24 hours. It is very sad that more awareness is not given to both pedestrians and motorists alike to prevent these tragities
