Pitch-invading soccer fan arrested

Johannesburg - An Ethiopian man has been arrested for alleged pitch invasion at an African Cup of Nations (AFCON) match between Ethiopia and Burkina Faso, Mpumalanga police said on Saturday.

"[He] jumped the barricade wall and ran onto the pitch while the game was still in progress [on Friday]," Colonel Leonard Hlathi said.

The 35-year-old man would appear in the Nelspruit Magistrate's Court on Monday.

    What the hell was he trying to do,or because our country treat foreigners like angels now they have take advantage of ourlaw.They better try it somewhere else not here in our country because we South Africans we respect it.
