Johannesburg - Six men were arrested while trying to rob a filling station in Polokwane on Sunday, Limpopo police said.

"During their arrest police found three fully loaded unlicensed 9mm firearms, balaclavas and other apparel used for business and house robberies," Brigadier Hangwani Mulaudzi said.

The suspects from Shoshanguve, Gauteng, were spotted acting suspiciously at one of the city's busiest filling stations and police were called. The men tried to flee in two cars, but police cornered them.

In another incident, two Zimbabweans were arrested in Makhado over the weekend, also while trying to rob a filling station. The men ran away, but were caught a few kilometres from the scene. Police found an unlicensed 9mm pistol and a rifle in their possession.

Poilice? hahahaha Doesnt matter if the textbooks arrive before Xmas or after Womens' day, they still cant spell nor bother re-reading what they are about to post. As a coloured person that experienced Apartheid, it was a bad system, but not everything was evil. We used to have standards back then.

People, instead of congratulating the SAPS on getting criminals off the streets, you're griping about a simple spelling mistake. Who cares. Thanks to those officers who risked their lives catching these criminals. I'm glad no one was killed or injured. It's not often we read an article like this, where no one was killed. Let's just hope that they serve a lot of time.
