Johannesburg - Police swooped on a house in West Park, Pretoria, on Thursday which had been used as a drug laboratory, a national spokesperson said.

Colonel Vishnu Naidoo said the house in Katlagter Street was raided around 06:00.

"Chemicals, equipment and ingredients used to manufacture the drug crystal meth commonly known as "tik" [methamphetamine] were found."

These were worth millions, he said.

"Each room of the house had been converted for a specific function, which includes a cooking room and wrapping room."

No arrests had been made.

"Our forensic team are still on the scene while the other detectives are searching for the suspects," Naidoo said.

Why are Nigerians allowed to operate here in Pretoria or anywhere in South Africa for that matter ? What is Dept of Home Affairs doing about this situation ? Nothing I suppose as per usual !

You need to stop making assumptions. The suspects could be anybody.I know you hate Nigerians but try to keep your hate under control and make comments when you have facts.

Omonja. On SABC news last night it was stated that the house was rented by a Nigerian 'pastor'.
