Johannesburg - The Tonga Regional Court on Tuesday postponed the trial of four men accused of raping a 24-year-old woman to November for DNA results.

The men, Mfundo Mukhwathi, Thulani Nkosi, Lifa Mhlabane and Bafana Mazibuko previously pleaded not guilty to charges of rape.

They are accused of raping the woman inside a church building near a tavern in Naas on the Mozambican border on 9 February 2013.

Mukhwathi told the court in April this year they had met the woman at a tavern where they agreed to have sex in exchange for money.

He said one of the men asked her if they could all have sex with her, to which she agreed at a price of R100 per man.

He said they went to a nearby shack, which they later learnt was a church, and had sex with her. He said they could only pay her R250, which angered the woman, who later opened a rape case against them.

All the accused, from the Sibayeni village near the Swaziland and Mozambican border, have been denied bail and were remanded in custody.

Magistrate Edgar Moletsane postponed their trial to 27 November for DNA results to be presented in court.
