Right wingers denied bail

2013-01-23 15:24

Bloemfontein - Three men accused of plotting to assassinate the ANC's leaders were denied bail by the Bloemfontein Magistrate's Court on Wednesday.

Mark Trollip, John Keevy and Johan Prinsloo. were denied bail by Magistrate Mziwonke Hinxa.

A fourth accused, Hein Boonzaaier, was granted conditional bail of R80 000.

The matter was postponed until March 25 for further investigation.

The men are accused of plotting to kill the African National Congress's leaders at the party's Mangaung elective conference in December.

They, and other people, had allegedly been planning since January 2012 to establish a new right wing party, the Boere Party, and commit acts of sabotage.

Racists from the Right and the Left have no part in our society - We are entitled to our opinions - but when we use our hatred to kill or maim anyone then it must be stopped! This is treason!

I was looking all over for your name Heini, you proved me wrong. Got disapointed *hides*

      jesibelle.krueger - 2013-01-23 20:08

@yanga.maroloma, Why were you looking for his name..? Are you part of the LEFT WING TERRORIST group - the ANC..? Shall I.., - Remind you that they have physically done nothing. - Point at the "Boeremag Trial" - it took ten years to fabricate charges against them, now it seems the entire case may be thrown out of court. - Note that in May last year Cosatu physically attacked a provincial premier - Helen Zille, in Jorissen Street, in Johannesburg. Absolutely NOTHING happened to them. - Point to Tony Ehrenreich, who in Dec 2012 said in public (and as such on record): "We are here today to declare war. We will grab the land and give it to the rightful owners". Absolutely NOTHING happened to him. - Remind you that in Sep 2012 Marikana miners threatened to kill Lonmin management- and white employees en masse, unless they stop all operations, at the mine. Absolutely NOTHING happened to them. - Note that in Feb 2012 Jacob Zuma, in brazen Contempt of Court, sang "Kill the Boer" in Bloemfontein. As the president of the country it is one of the most serious charges conceivable - absolutely NOTHING happened to him. I can carry on for days - it is clear though, certain 'laws' are meant for a certain South African minority only...

As a white SA born citizen I am ashamed of myself and all the white people every time I hear about things like "the far right movement" "AWB" I am also ashamed of being a citizen of SA under the thieving, lying, corrupted Government and the ANC, I am not ashamed and is proud to say I support the DA that is fighting for all of us, I don't like it when Whites stand against Blacks and Blacks against Whites, we are all free almost 20 years now and we will newer go backwards, we are all born citizens and we all live together, we must stop the 2 color black and white thing. Live together, stand together, hope for all

We dont need people like them in our society

  • johan.vanheerden.737 - 2013-01-23 15:58

why were they refused bail? As far as I know they are not a flight risk or would intefere with witnesses? Is the granting of bail being used as aform of punishment?

      michael.klopper.94 - 2013-01-23 16:38

There are different schedule crimes. In the case of treason, it is a schedule 1 crime, therefore the criteria for bail is much harsher, and it shifts the onus to the person awaiting trial to prove why he should be let out on bail. Should the onus not be proved, no bail. It is always funny to see people with absolutely zero understanding of law slating the system.

      bongani.nxumalo.1804 - 2013-01-23 17:08

Why, u wanted them to finish what they started?

      thato.loeto.3 - 2013-01-23 17:07

well I don't see policies stating that certain races are not allowed into areas designated for certain races... and please don't jump into the BEE policies as this is a Government rectifying the wrong doing of the Government by facilitating economic equality after many years if Apartheid wrong doing*

I can not even contemplate what would be happening now if they should have succeeded with their plans on December 16. Surely it could have been a start to a an unwelcome civil war

  • sean.kedian - 2013-01-23 17:29

I think there a lot of people planning to assasinate the ANC leaders but there jails arent able to contain them all

  • johan.vanheerden.737 - 2013-01-23 17:30

      ann.ornelas - 2013-01-23 18:07

No Yanga I think you are being a little touchy. When people on the site start using the names that you have pointed out it's mainly when the crimes have been extremely violent, sensless and against our children and elderly. It hits home that we live in a violent society where our most vulnerable are the main targets. My personal feeling about these AWB guys is that they have no place in our society along with the murderers, molesters and rapists. If you want to lambaste me feel free I am merely sharing my opinion with you. You are enititled to your opinion as am I.

      yanga.maroloma - 2013-01-23 19:55

@Ann, its just that people get to hard when its certain people. its good thing to talk against crime, but its ugly to talk against crime when its commited by certain people only. Let's just be fair.

      ann.ornelas - 2013-01-23 20:30

Yanga I hear you but rise above and look at it wholisticaly. Crime is Cr@p and there are small minded people who will use it to their advantage to sow division. Hey i've been affected badly by crime, really badly. We have to be better than the people who seek to use it to divide our nation. I'm going to cap your word "the Trolls" ;-) because thats what they are.

      ann.ornelas - 2013-01-23 20:38

And Yanga it actually goes both ways. We are all just so sensitive to it. Peace and Love Brother, Peace and Love
