Johannesburg - Several roads will be closed around the FNB stadium on Saturday ahead of the Soweto soccer derby between Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs, Johannesburg metro police said on Friday.

Police spokesperson Wayne Minnaar said the Soweto highway, Nasrec and Rand Show roads would be closed from 09:00 to 19:00.

On Sunday, several roads would be closed off as the 702 Walk the Talk event takes place.

The roads are in Emmarentia, Greenside, Parkview, Saxonwold, and Forest Town.

"Some of the main roads which will be affected will include Jan Smuts Avenue, Barry Hertzog Avenue and Beyers Naude," said Minnaar.

These would be closed between 08:00 and 16:00.
