Durban - A KwaZulu-Natal family was terrorised by a gang of robbers who pushed a gun into a 13-year-old’s mouth to force his father to open the safe.

Karen Daley, 43, saw how her son, Matthew, was frogmarched into the house with robbers pointing a gun at his head on Sunday, The Mercury reported.

The boy begged his mom, “Mom, please don’t let them kill me!” while the robber screamed at his mother not to look at him.

One of the robbers also took jewellery from Daley’s neck, groping her breasts.

“I thought he was going to rape me,” she said.

Her 72-year-old mother, Elly Rossouw, was kicked in the stomach and dragged out of her room to join her family on the floor.

Her jewellery, handbag and personal documents were stolen.

The teenager is receiving trauma counselling.

Police are investigating the incident.
