Satanism link in multiple Gauteng murders

2012-10-10 09:23

Pretoria - Police are staying tight-lipped on an investigation into four murders in Gauteng that are believed to be linked to Satanism.

Beeld reported that police were looking for one suspect in connection with the four murders but a police spokesperson would neither confirm nor deny this.

“The investigation is at a very sensitive stage and giving out such information could harm the investigation,” said lieutenant colonel Lungelo Dlamini.

Natacha Burger, 31, was involved with Overcomers through Christ, an organisation that worked with former Satanists.

She and a friend, Joy Boonzaier, 68, were stabbed to death after blood was allegedly found smeared on a gutter outside her house in a security complex in Centurion.

Pastor Reg Bendixen was killed in the garden of his house in Honeydew in August and was apparently mentoring a woman involved with Overcomers through Christ.

It was not clear how the fourth murder victim, Michaela Valentine, 25, was connected to the other victims.

Valentine was stabbed to death in her house last Thursday and a cellphone was missing from her Ruimsig home.

You have to believe in god to believe in satan.

      lerato.mautlane - 2012-10-10 14:07

I personally rather live my life believing the is a God, Almighty - than believing the isn't!!! - The power that is inside of us didn't come from thin air!!!

The power that is within you comes from the food that is converted to energy...

      marius.j.rensburg.3 - 2012-10-10 16:15

Unfortunately it's about the "Burden of Proof". If you claim something exists like in this case god, the "Burden of Proof" is on you. If I then challenge you to prove it, you cannot say I simply have to believe it or try and "shift" the burden of proof onto me, it simply does not work that way. The first thing Christians will say is: but why must I prove it them, why can't they just believe in god? mmmm .... I must just believe hey? Simply does not make any sense. As for science? Let me tell you. Scientists were the ones that said earth is round not flat as every one "believed". They were killed for it in the name of god for speaking against what everyone believed. Science has come a long way to "Prove" things. But they still have a long way to go to "prove" may things as our technology improves. There was no technology to "prove" the earth was round then, was there? Ai, sometimes I feel like christians created this fantacy world, writing a book about a man (not a woman hey) who let snakes talk / divided an ocean / a dude that lived in a fish / oh, and wait for it .... it all started with only 2 people Adam and Eve - this being the biggest scandal EVER, because the ONLY way to add more people was if the sisters and brothers slept together, or how exactly did Christians think it all started from Adam and Eve then? Adam and Eve had kids right? Nothing wrong there, but please tell me, how did their kids have kids? Only way was to sleep together, it's called incest, yes/no?

      heinrich.vanvuuren - 2012-10-11 10:37

@mannie. Whats even more fascinating is this belief that life arose by mere chance out of a primordial pool, after the universe was formed by the explosion of a pea sized piece of matter. I wonder where that came from?

      SarcasticAgnostic - 2012-10-11 10:49

I wonder where your god came from...

      magda.harmse - 2012-10-11 12:00

@Mannie777 Yes that is exactly what happend with Adam and eve. Not denying that. Most people don't want to see this, but unfortunately for us believers this is what hapenned.

      bobby.pandaram - 2012-10-11 15:50

@mannie - okay - that sounds fair - Let's first clarify what constitutes evidence and then we can take it from there.

      bobby.pandaram - 2012-10-11 15:52

@marcus - none so blind as those who will not see.

      bobby.pandaram - 2012-10-11 15:57

@ Alfred - you wrote @christopher.collings.9 typical uneducated, ignorant christian. Did you not pay attention in school? Did you not do basic biology? Power is energy, we get our energy from food. Are you incapable of grasping this simple concept. If you are not on drugs then you must just be stupid. Now here is the deal - you firstly accuse someone of not grasping a simple concept and then you further concluse that if a person who does not grasp this simple concept is either on drugs or stupid. Now lets test your esteemed intellectual capacity - 1. explain using simple rational logic as to how you came to this conclusion.

      alfred.karius - 2012-10-11 17:03

an explanation for bobby who either did not read through the comments or lacks comprehension skills. 1.lerato.mautlane stated as an argument for god, "The power that is inside of us didn't come from thin air!!!" 2. SarcasticHeathen then explained to lerato.mautlane where our power comes from with the statement, "The power that is within you comes from the food that is converted to energy..." 3.christopher.collings.9 then demonstrated his stupidity by displayed his ignorance of basic biology with his statement, "hey heathen what drugs are u on pal?" This statement calls into question SarcasticHeathen intelligence or sanity. 4. I questioned christopher.collings.9 intelligence using his own accusation. So does that clarify things for you bobby? Probably not.

You will also do, its just a matter of time. @Lucid, the evidence is on you seeing the magicians performing miracles and you believe in their power. that power is obviously spiritual, isn't it? Also, your conscience is spiritual. God intentionally created a voice (spirit) that speaks to you to help with determ ining right from wrong. Taking it further up, God through his word(spirit) formed the foundations of earth and all the other planets, the sea remains in its boundaries and never floods the earth (unless something supernatural makes it do so", the sun never lose its power to shine and give us light from the east to west, all these can never be comprehended by the natural realm, only the Spiritual realm has the answers. I won’t go further, I might lose you.

      LucidPreest - 2012-10-10 10:47

"the evidence is on you seeing the magicians performing miracles and you believe in their power. that power is obviously spiritual, isn't it?" No. "Also, your conscience is spiritual. God intentionally created a voice (spirit) that speaks to you to help with determ ining right from wrong." Based on what evidence? "Taking it further up, God through his word(spirit) formed the foundations of earth and all the other planets, the sea remains in its boundaries and never floods the earth (unless something supernatural makes it do so"," False, we can scientifically explain the causes of these events. "the sun never lose its power to shine and give us light" False, our sun is dying. "from the east to west, all these can never be comprehended by the natural realm, only the Spiritual realm has the answers. I won’t go further, I might lose you." You haven't lost me, but you've lost the point you were trying to make as it was unsubstantiated conjecture.

      azande.futhi - 2012-10-10 11:01

      @Lucid, bring the scientific explanations

      dewald.galjaard - 2012-10-10 11:21

@Azande, you cannot comprehend... the amount of money I have to spend to be as high and delusional as you.

      LucidPreest - 2012-10-10 11:23

Natural disasters come from 2 main sources. The sun, and the earths core. The Earths core heat the earth and allows the tectonic plates to move, it is the colliding up these plates that cause earthquakes and tsunamis, and it is the heat and pressure applied to gaps in these plates that causes volcanic eruption. BUT what we call disaster are really just signs that the earth is alive. The sun, creates weather by heating up sections of the earth. It causes water to evaporate to create rain and creates wind the pressure systems. Heat from the sun creates high pressure and high pressure flows to low pressure and it is that flow that we call wind. Tornadoes and hurricanes (cyclones) are cause when two directions of wind flow next to each other causing a spiral, the strength of the wind and the amount of water in the air can cause anything from a small "willy willy" to a full blow cyclone the causes severe waves, wind and rain. Of course this is a very simplified version of the answer, the full facts are far more complicated. -------------------------------------------- @Truth - What is the basis for your assessment?

      azande.futhi - 2012-10-10 12:25

@Lucid, great. now what causes the wind and what made the sun. your explanation just addresses consequences in the activities of elements. i want you to tell me about what made these elements that you all around you. No science can explain these phenomena beacsue a man's mind has limitations, it can reason to a certain limit and the whole creation phenomenon is beyond what our minds can concieve and comprehend. PS: FYI. Even scientists acknowledge that there definitely a supernatural power that makes all these things which they themselves cannot explain into being. Nice try though.

      LucidPreest - 2012-10-10 12:46

The information regarding the formation of the sun can be found here : Here is an exerpt: "The Sun formed about 4.6 billion years ago from the gravitational collapse of a region within a large molecular cloud. Most of the matter gathered in the center, while the rest flattened into an orbiting disk that would become the Solar System. The central mass became increasingly hot and dense, eventually initiating thermonuclear fusion in its core. It is thought that almost all other stars form by this process." The information regarding the origin of the wind can be found here: An except: "Wind is caused by air flowing from high pressure to low pressure. Since the Earth is rotating, however, the air does not flow directly from high to low pressure, but it is deflected to the right (in the Northern Hemisphere; to the left in the Southern Hemisphere), so that the wind flows mostly around the high and low pressure areas." Also, your comment regarding scientists is an argument from authority, but as you have no evidence to support it, I reject it without further effort.

      mygot.gert - 2012-10-10 12:46

@azande, no science can explain your god either. So we're all a bit stuck for proof

      azande.futhi - 2012-10-10 13:05

@Lucid, hahahaha. it’s so interesting that you wholeheartedly believe in these millions years theories that the scientists feed you, knowing exactly that you won't challenge and prove that they are wrong. Listen broer, all the measurements and the instruments that used by the scientists are human created and are based on what man take as making sense in their "limited" minds. Everything that you believe in is made by man and modelled in a way that will be uniform enough to make you think it is actually the truth. I can assure you that if i would tell you that your dad is not your real dad, you would disagree with me. Did you ever conduct any scientific study to prove that he is? No. you only heard and believed that he is your dad. Same with if I can tell you that, 25 divided by 5 equals 14, you would label me stupid because you were made by the human made rules and laws of this world to believe the answer is five. 25/5 = 5 because there is standard that was created by a certain man based on specific standard mathematical rules. Is it solely the truth? I want to believe that it is not. It’s sad that you take all these things that are fed by your scientists as the sole truth in this universe.

      enlightened.bowman - 2012-10-10 13:15

      dewald.galjaard - 2012-10-10 13:39

@Lucid - Typo. Soz. @Azande. I'm starting to think you're a troll. "it’s so interesting that you wholeheartedly believe in these millions years theories that the scientists feed you" – Exactly how are you any better? "Listen broer, all the measurements and the instruments that used by the scientists are human created and are based on what man take as making sense in their "limited" minds." - How is the bible any different? "Everything that you believe in is made by man and modelled in a way that will be uniform enough to make you think it is actually the truth." – Ya, ok, refer to my question above. Let me explain something to do. Atheists believe we should be able to prove things. Else how would we know if they are real or not? We prove that 1 + 1 = 2. We prove the earth moves around the sun and not the other way around. This is our religion. Your religion on the other hand believes in a man in the sky, and I am not referring to Felix. You have no proof of his existence or whereabouts. You claim he made the world and all in it – again no proof. You say well ‘God must have done it! Because ‘somebody’ had to creat the universe, right?’, but you conveniently ignore the fact that before the creation, God too had to originate from somewhere. You allow yourself to believe whatever is convenient to you. You are ignorant, ill informed, have a lazy mind and quite frankly look like a fool.

      azande.futhi - 2012-10-10 13:39

@mememan, what i am saying is that, there are two worlds, the natural and the supernatural. The natural is based on what makes sense base its proof on rationality. That rationality is based on what has been taught to men by men to be "rational". It is by this reason I say, what we are made to believe is based on what one person deemed the truth thus convinced us to believe in it. Was it the truth, Yes...according to his own created measurement. Can there be any other way that can be used which can bring different results? Definitely YES... I know I seem speaking in parables. I do not expect you to understand what I am saying but that is the my view. Now, the second world is the supernatural which the atheists believe its non-existent. This realm operates on belief on things that cannot be seen and obvious also on non-rationality. It operates by a connection and interaction with the spiritual Almighty God, through the Holy Ghost. This world is the originator of all beings and manifested itself to the natural through “WORD”. Do I expect you to believe or understand this, NO. Now, whether we like it or not, there is a supernatural power that keeps universe intact and our world in balance. And that power is GOD.

      dewald.galjaard - 2012-10-10 13:46

@Azande, in which 'world' was the young woman murdered? Case closed. So, red or blue pill?

      azande.futhi - 2012-10-10 13:52

@Lucid, the fact that we have different models of belief doesn't make me a fool, Well maybe to you or your ilk I may look like one. But, we have different mindsets and obviously cannot rationalise the same way. So selflessness and respect is important broer. Coming to the subject, we base our belief on Hebrews 11:1 and the reason we will always pass each other in our engagements is because of exactly what is said in that scripture passage. We do not only base our belief on rationality and what we can see but also on the contrary which is what make you think we are fools. Yes we may look like ones but to be quite honest with you and unless you are born again, you will never experience what we experience in spirit that is "interacting with God in the spiritual realm" and unfortunately its not something I can prove to you in a visible manner.

      khumza - 2012-10-10 13:58

Azande stop lying and get off your high horse, which self respecting scientist beilives in supernatural powers?. If there is a breakthrough in this case it wont be through any supernatural delusions but it will be through pure applied LOGIC.

      azande.futhi - 2012-10-10 14:11

@khumza, that's your belief and I respect it even if I don't agree with it. Peace be with you.

      khumza - 2012-10-10 14:27

@ Azande> In my posting there is no implication of any "beliefs", I am merely stating facts. There is no scientist that belive in supernatural powers & the case will be solved through applied logic. I bet you that if the cops can sit around and do nothing but pray those murderers will NEVER give themselves up, thats how things work. You sit around and do nothing then nothing will happen unless you are dellusional and think that sitting idle brings any results. And by the way your logic about scientists "giving" out numbers in regard to the age of the universe is embarassing, read my brother, not just "fiction", read science as well. I know it will be difficult to comprehend the dating methods and techniques coming from a supernatural background but give it a try.

      azande.futhi - 2012-10-10 14:41

@Khumza, you believe that things are only done through applied logic. Thats your belief, I still say. My religion and belief doesn't say "sit idle and pray that things will work out by themselves", that's a misinformed perception of our belief. We believe in hard work (doing our part) and leave the things we cannot control (ie what tomorrow holds) to God. That's what we believe in. I still say there are some scientists who believe there is a supernatural power that accounts for things that really do not make sense and cannot be explained.

Charles is partially correct, (LaVeyan) satanists are atheists and I would suspect that some of News24's atheist community would fit into this category. Broadly speaking, their life philosophy stress self-dependence rather than dependence on an outside agency couple with individualism, hedonism, materialism etc. So all Laveyan Satanists are atheists, but not all atheists are Laveyan Satanists

      jody.beggs - 2012-10-10 17:15

@Hugh_Influence good point that would make all xian more of a Satanist than any atheist. Weird how that works out ! Remember all xians need to believe in Satan.

      Andrew2711 - 2012-10-11 10:49

@DamnTheMan: bit of a break down in your reasoning there, Christians worship Christ, (theist) Satanist worship how does acknowledging the existence of Satan make someone who abhors him a worshipper of him? Its like saying the Allied Forces in WW2 were actually more Nazi than for example the Swiss/Irish/Swedish etc who remained neutral, as the Allies acknowledged that the Nazi's were their enemy and fought them whilst those examples decided to sit out the war and not pick a side.

      jody.beggs - 2012-10-11 15:43

@Andrew2711 fail ... You still need to believe in his exsistance , if you don't there is no god aswell. Atheist know neither exist so pray to neither or believe in either. See the difference , you still believe in the fact he his real , you have faith that he is ... Atheists will never rely on faith...

      napolita.kio - 2012-10-10 11:54

@DamnTheMan - I think it's time we bring some logic here. The definition of the word believe is - the acceptance of an assertion as true. The definition of stupid is - Lacking in intelligence or common sense. Given your first line "Those you believe in anything that you cannot prove is just stupid !", please explain how can your statement be true. Bear in mind, your statement effectively implies that one who believes is without common sense!, which begs the question, if one is without common sense how can such a person believe? Dare I say, hypothesis (meaning, a proposition made as a basis for reasoning, without any assumption of its truth) is the beginning of ALL scientific enquiry!

      jody.beggs - 2012-10-10 13:34

@napolita.kio "The definition of the word believe is - the acceptance of an assertion as true. " Also : "Something believed or accepted as true, especially a particular tenet or a body of tenets accepted by a group of persons." A belief does not mean its true , just accepted as true by a group. The FSM love you , all hail the FSM ! "Dare I say, hypothesis (meaning, a proposition made as a basis for reasoning, without any assumption of its truth) is the beginning of ALL scientific enquiry!" Yes but Religion or faith will never be a hypothesis. "For a hypothesis to be a scientific hypothesis, the scientific method requires that one can test it." Can you test God ! The buy bull and by extension god will never be a hypothesis and then never be seen as fact. "Bear in mind, your statement effectively implies that one who believes is without common sense!, which begs the question, if one is without common sense how can such a person believe? " Exactly common sense is not so common , stupid is what stupid does and usually loves company. Common sense is not common when you need a superstitious understanding of the world. And then bash that "knowledge" into children with the dear of burning in hell. You've seen hell's Flames and Heaven's gates !

Do they really want to be hidden behind the veil of mysticism, mythology, magic and fiction. Surely after such a tragic event they at least deserve the right to hear what others think? I cannot find a single comment that harms the dignity of the unfortunate victims or their family. They are just more victims of senseless crime like so many South Africans before and of the future.

"For since, the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe." 1 Corinthians 1:21. But the natural man does not recieve the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 1 Corinthians 2:14. So it is your choice to believe in Christ or reject him, but I will be praying for the Lord to work in the hearts of those who don't believe in Him that they may see the light and be convicted.

      petr.valcik1 - 2012-10-10 15:28

Hmmm - that's not what it says here about Hitler It would appear Ghaddafi and Khomenei were Muslims which means that they believe in a god as well but they have a different view than christians. Communism almost creates a political situation where it practically becomes a religion hence it would clash with it. Never mind the fact that most serial killers in the states come from very religious families. By the way - anybody aware of the fact that Jesus was actually born a Jew? If you really want to get into some more facts about religions... It doesn't matter who or what you believe in - sooner or later everyone dies and only then you will really know what happens (or not).

      marius.j.rensburg.3 - 2012-10-10 22:24

You have to prove your claim Mack. You'll just sound delusional if you stand on the street corner and shout things without proof. Its called the "burden of proof". Because you made the claim in the first place - YOU have to prove it. If I don't believe you (and why should I just believe you like a sheep), you cannot simply say "No, I am correct." Why are you correct? Show me? Prove it to me. (I never seem to get past this point in these debates....why?)

Any excuse will do for a Christian/Atheist argument. we are a really sick nation.

  • christina.engela - 2012-10-10 14:37

It's odd that in this country, murder can be openly blamed on religion - but not only on the individual culprits - but on anyone else who happens to be of that same religion - never mind how much damage they do to the dignity and rights of those whose beliefs they taint or belittle. Of course, when murderers happen to be Christians - a statistical majority in this country, that detail somehow doesn't make the same sensationalist headline, does it? When somebody is murdered in a road-rage incident for instance, the headline doesn't read "Christianist Murders Cyclist", does it? Of course, all the hysterics 'must' be correct - "Christians" would 'never' commit murder or acts of cruelty. The way news media panders to the "Satanic Panic" propagandists and fear mongers by labelling every other crime as "occult" or "satanic" and then implying some kind of threat to "Christian" society posed by all belief systems other than mainstream Christianity, is steeped in both hysteria and prejudice - and un-professionalism. News should report FACTS, not conjecture - and neither should it promote and perpetuate inaccuracies, ignorance, stereotypes and prejudice.

      azande.futhi - 2012-10-10 14:58

@Christina, I do not think you read the article well. The investiagtion leads are pointing at a series of murdered people initially being involved with agroup that practised satanism. Its a simple "pattern" analysis. I see nothing funny with it as I wouldn't see anything if the lead was pointing at Christians or a drug ring. You are over reacting Mam, in my view.

      christina.engela - 2012-10-10 15:25

Azande, if you look at the number of articles in the news over the past 6 months alone referring to "satanism" and "the occult" where no credible links to either can be shown, I don't think I am over-reacting. The article claims that some of the victims were Christian missionaries who worked with "former Satanists" in order to convert them into Christians presumably. It doesn't specify whether any of the victims themselves were former Satanists. It appears the writer of the article has drawn his own conclusions by speculating that the victims were killed "by Satanists" because they had been in contact with alleged Satanists. That's a bit of a stretch, don't you think? That's like saying "Sam was at the bank yesterday, so obviously she was killed by a bank manager".

      RodinsThinker - 2012-10-10 16:57

Christina - well observed. South African culture has a fascination with Satanism, I remember it being strong as far back as 1980, it doubtless goes even further. It's the good old "fear of the other" manifesting. As products of Christian National Education, anyone older than about forty was brought up to think that anyone not Christian must be at the opposite pole i.e. Satanist. Even now the fundies can't get their heads round the fact that atheists simply have no belief about the existence of gods, and so some of the dimmer (Dumb)ones still equate the two. This Satan idea was created well into the lifetime of christianity and is a composite of various older traditions such as Pan, the half man, half beast that caused mischief in Greek (I think) mythology. Christians only think in simplistic black and white terms and so there has to be a polar opposite of the all-good Jehovah, therefore Satan evolved into the absolute opposite (even though he, and therefore his capabilities, were supposedly created by Jehovah - make sense? :-)).

      marius.j.rensburg.3 - 2012-10-10 22:44

@Christina - Azande (whom) i dissagree with most on this forum) gave a very good answer here "A simple pattern analysis" describes it perfect - something any detective would answer as well. "Satanic Panic" fueled by the news media - c'on really? You actually sound like you about to have a panic attack.

Murders, then search for the murderer. But why this attempt to turn it into something more than it is? Instead we see religious based propaganda being pushed. The first place police should be looking is for someone involved in some way with the church, and also people who were involved with the victims. That is standard police procedure Once you eliminate those involved with the victims then you look farther afield. You don't start supposing all sorts of wild ideas, being used to justify a money wasting new unit of the police that has a record of failure the last time it was tried. Relistically, what is satan doing in heaven right at this moment, or is the writer of Revelation mad? I do believe the latter. "And there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back." A futuristic event!!! That's what the whole Revelation is apparently about. But it does not answer the question of what satan and pals are doing in heaven right at this moment. Now consider that the same writer of Revelation made the following statement (so much for the credibility of the bible and the belief systems based on it.) "The 144,000 who will be chosen at the Second Coming: "Then I looked, and there was the Lamb, standing on Mount Zion! And with him were 144,000 who had his name and his Father's name written on their foreheads...It is these who have NOT DEFILED THEMSELVES WITH WOMEN,for they are VIRGINS." Let's rather not get confused by nonsense and let's use our common sense as developed through countless little changes as descriped by evolution. Makes a lot more sense.

      freddie.mostert.3 - 2012-10-11 07:07

Satan and his demons are NOT in heaven but on earth! The 144000 are those that are still waiting for the Messiah.

Lets see now, the christian god murdered every single person including children, infants and pregnant women on the planet save for Noah and his family. The christian god ordered his chosen people to slaughter those of another tribe except for the virgins, they were to be raped. The christian god ordered Abraham to kill his only son only stopping him at the last minute as proof of loyalty. The christian god constructed this entire universe earth life and conscious humans knowing that it would send billions to eternal torture and this is the christian's "good god"? They also have a "bad god" they call Satan who is actually the "good" god's torturer in chief.

  • celi.mbokazi - 2012-10-11 09:45

It seems people are not happy with the link to satan the article makes. the link is based on pattern being observed as this would be done be it any pattern that helps solve the case. the readers should therefore be happy with the link as it means the police are closing in on the murders. That people are upset confirms onething, DENIAL of satan in the face of evidence. Since if satan exist as evidence seem to show, it therefore implies there is a god. And if god exist then heaven and hell exist. And if that is true then if do not know christ i suggest you start reading your bible, get to a good church, make your lord and saver that you may be saved. god bless in jesus name amen

      LanfearM - 2012-10-12 09:37

@mannie777. if you need some scientific proof that God exists, let me give you some (all of this is mentioned in the Quran which was revealed over 1400years ago and up to today is unaltered) 1. the earth is egg shaped ( that means round-shaped) 2. The water of the different oceans does not mix( scientists have proven this not too long ago) 3. Everyone has a unique identifier known as the fingerprint( also proven in science) 4. There is creatures in the depths of the ocean that has their own illuminating light which comes from their bodies ( deep sea explorations show this) 5. The further down you go into the sea, the darker it gets and eventually it becomes entirely black( also proven by deep sea explorations not to long ago) 6. the universe is ever expanding up to today( yet again scientists has proven this) 7. The earth follows its fixed path around the sun. This is only some examples of scientific evidence in the Quran. All of this is in clear text in the Quran which was revealed to Someone in a Desert over 1400 years ago who couldn't read or write. So if this information didn't come from somewhere "devine" then how on earth could information be known to someone in the desert(not even close to the sea) about so much scientific evidence which was mostly only proven within the last 100odd years. Take a few minutes to check it out, you will be surprised, its not secretly encoded its in clear text from 1400years ago:)

Perhaps it was the aliens that told him... or the FSM, or the flying Pink Unicorn... P.S. 1) The earth is not egg-shaped, in fact it is the opposite of egg shaped (i.e. it is flat on top and bulges at the centre due to centrifugal force)... 2)The oceans are in actual fact only ONE body of water, 3. I grant that everyone has unique finger prints, would be interested to read the quranic verse which states this (i.e. is it just a loose interpretation of what is actually written) 4) Again, I would like to see the quranic verse/s 5) That is a pretty obvious observation, even for a primitive man 6 and 7) Quaranic verse/s please...altho, the ancients weren't as naive about astronomy as we like to think

      1. egg shaped, as apposed to everyone which thought it was flat. Note i never said shaped exactly like and egg. not all eggs are identically shaped. 2. Your statement here is true, HOWEVER scientists have shown that different oceans and different bodies of water have different densities, and where oceans meet the water density is different and inturn they never mix. They overlap each other, aka surface tension. (Science has proven this as a FACT)There are many articles and evidence from reliable people check google. 3. Check it out:) 4.certain animals in this extreme environment can generate light to communicate with each other, and even to lure prey, thanks to a process known as bioluminescence. check it out aswell:) 5. Not exactly,a person can only withstand going a few 100 metres down, until pressure gets them, where this is there is still light. again science showed this when they went all the way down, and they were amazed that it became entirely dark. 6.The Qur'an speaks of an expanding universe. It says (51:47), "And it is We who have constructed the heaven with might, and verily, it is We who are steadily expanding it. :) science agrees with this. 7. Check it out as well i can't give you everything then there is nothing it research:) Its all there. When in doubt it is best to question things.

Hi aadil... I am not going to search the quarn for these verses... please back up your claims with references !!!!

      LanfearM - 2012-10-12 09:33

It is interesting to note that when the qur'an was written, they had a whole body of scientific research to draw on, from the so-called "pagans knowledge" that the christian churches banned in the west and north. At that time also, the Arabic world was one of the leaders in science and maths, so writing the qur'an with that knowledge to draw upon, knowledge that was suppressed and destroyed in Europe at the time, was not such a "great feat of revelation". Always look for the logical answer, not the magical one. NuttyZA is quite right that the "ancients" were far more knowledgeable about science that we think today. The ancient Egyptians, the Chinese, the Greeks, the Persians, the Romans, all these people knew the earth is a sphere, so the "revelation" in the qur'an was really nothing new at the time it was written. As example...

Aadil The Quran doesn't even believe that jesus was crucified. I suggest the Quran and Bible first sort out their internal problems (make up their minds as to what really happened) before we start talking about the Quran, deal?

Satinism is the road to death and Yahshua(Jesus Christ)is the road to eternal life. Be ready before the Messiah Yahshua comes to fetch his bride(all those who live in Him and for Him). Blessings from our saviour Yashua. Amen.

Oh you people... So caught up with whats right and wrong in other people's view rather than focusing on God and Jesus. And where does the "burden of proof" come from? Not everyone gets chosen. Deal with it

      marius.j.rensburg.3 - 2012-10-11 13:31

Pieter Your client 'CLAIMS' he paid you via EFT two weeks ago already. After checking your bank statements AND phoning your bank you reply to your client by asking him to send you a proof of payment. Your client replies that he made the payment and you should believe it's in your account. You then tell your client that the burden is on him to prove that he made the payment by asking him to email you a copy of the proof of payment. Your client (now very angry) responds that the payment was done 2 weeks ago and that you must just believe that the funds are in your account - and btw: what the hell are you on about this "burden of proof" cr*p? Believe that he paid you - or just deal with it! Now, I am not saying god and jesus are wrong or right / i am asking you to prove to me they exist or must I just believe it to be true because the bible said so? Do you now understand the burden of proof?

  • yoko.papu - 2012-10-11 15:00

The validity of the existence of God, my Father and Lord is not dependant on whether some people believe it or not. Like satan, whether you believe he exists or not, has no bearing on his tormenting people's lives, killing and leading plenty to destruction. I will never defend the truth, it speaks for itself and one thing is certain, in everyone's life there is a time of reckoning. What you have lived for will surely pay you your dues, so go ahead and mock Christians, at least they believe in something good and it sure is good.

      marius.j.rensburg.3 - 2012-10-11 15:58

and "believe" is where it remains....we all want to believe in superheros.

  • Jennifer - 2012-10-11 20:08

4 people were murdered in cold blood - one of them was known to me. That is sad. And evil. you can debate this until the cows come home, you are missing the point. As most non believers do.

      LanfearM - 2012-10-12 08:59

What point jennifer.hunter? That such cruel murder is evil? Yes it is, and we don't need to hear how "the devil made them do it". Humans are capable of great good and great evil, all by themselves without supernatural imaginery beings to blame it on.

Why woman are always the victims of Satanic practices(killings).? May their soul rest in peace.

  • christoffvstaden - 2012-10-20 14:18

Nothing to do with god or the devil. It has to do with people's own stupidities. So we have a "satanist" who in his/her delusion thinks he is all powerful, and we have a "christian" thinking she has the power/right/authority to turn him onto a good, god-fearing boy. Both parties have lost the plot frankly...

  • petrus.mako - 2013-01-18 16:38

Chidren of God is time for prayer not playing games with God, we need God more than we think. We only over come in Jesus Christ.

  • petrus.mako - 2013-01-18 16:47

I real belief that God is put things open, because God loves us. He give us to choice between Him{ God,Holy Spirit and Jesus} or( Devil,Satanism, evil spirit).I choice God, Lord Jesus Christ and Holy Spirit. The choice is ours.
