Durban - A mobile police station was being set up on Tuesday afternoon outside the Umlazi, Durban, home where Senzo Meyiwa grew up.

As mourning crowds sang outside the Mgaga Road home where the family of the slain Bafana Bafana captain lived, a Mercedes-Benz Vito from the Umlazi police station arrived towing the prefabricated structure.

Journalists, photographers and numerous television crews were outside the house for the second day.

A tarpaulin had been erected over the small front yard and another over the small back yard.

Shortly before 15:00, Sports Minister Fikile Mbalula arrived, followed by SA Football Association president Danny Jordaan.

Other dignitaries to arrive included injured soccer players Itumeleng Khune and Lucky Lekgwathi.
