Sex video boys still at school

Cape Town - A police officer has said that the sex video made by three Oudtshoorn high school boys was filmed on school property - in a dormitory and at a sports complex.

The boys were charged with statutory rape after making the tape with a 15-year-old girl, reported the Cape Argus.

They were arrested after the girl’s parents complained to police.

The three boys, who range from 16 to 18 years old, are still attending school, with the 18-year-old writing his matric exams.

An education spokesperson said the decision to suspend the boys was in the hands of the school’s governing body.

The school is apparently about to begin a disciplinary process.

There were two incidents relating to the video in May and September this year.

The case has been postponed to December.

Will she also be suspended? She knew what she was doing and willingly partook. Now the boys are charged with statutory rape and she is made the “victim”. PS: I’m not one for their school mates, just am objective reader.

Apparently the girl never complained about this and agreed to do it! Please charge her as well. It is not fair to charge the boys - the girl is just as guilty!

Very Valid Point. You see,for her to not get charged when is was consenual (obviously not knowing it was recorded though) is nonsense. She willingly took part,up until she knew was on film etc. But now watch, If she decides to turn round and say she was forced to do,everyone will scream Blue Murder about it being rape. And she's home free. I sound harsh in agreeing with you and pointing this out,but lets face it folks =/ its the reality here. As much as i hate rape,i also hate people that Cry Wolf =/

We need to take a serious look at our youth. Instead of some of the nonesense they teach in Life Orientation, they should include teaching them self-respect.

When are these kids going to learn? Postponing the case to December is actually "helping" this boy to push reality aside. Why? Because the "poor child" is busy with matric exams??? What are we busy telling our children through an action like this? That's it's "ok" to do things and not having to accept responsibility? This child should have been made to miss out on his exams and come back next year. In the real world out there actions like these demand immediate investigation. Why should this be different for any of the 5 school kids involved. If they were big enough to get involved with sexual relations, they are also big enough to deal with consequences.
