      Miles Willemse - 2013-02-24 07:45

Someone died, someones child ,Father ,Son . Thats why its Newsworthy

      henk63 - 2013-02-24 07:48

Do you want more news on Oscar?

      martin.mcleman - 2013-02-24 08:52

This isn't reporting or even news per se. It's just N24 stealing a story from ER24's twitter feed. This happened last night - SURELY - a reporter could go poke around and get some info, or eyewitness accounts by now! Blazing a headline like that with NOTHING to back it up is just poor.... Just poor

      johan.jacobs.5680 - 2013-02-24 09:11

The loss of three human lives, should always be news, irrespective of where, and for what reason.

      GordonT - 2013-02-24 09:19

Why does News24 always call it Bloemfontein when the news is negative, and Manguang when it's positive?

      vic.hammond.77 - 2013-02-24 09:20

Show compassion. They could have been innocent.

      bullet.proof.9400 - 2013-02-24 11:55

Where is GFSA now... the silence is deafening. These idiots must remember outlaw guns and only outlaws will have guns

      JuditVictor - 2013-02-24 12:34

the more they report on killings the more the world will know what's going on here. Logic?

  • trevor.bailet - 2013-02-24 07:41

if these guns were ever licensed/legal then its another thats another three reasons we should be considering a ban on civilian gun ownership.

      gauchet1 - 2013-02-24 08:28

Ag poefies treffer, banning gun lisences will only affect the honest ones. It would not remove guns from crooks! THINK boetie THINK

      john.loveland.9 - 2013-02-24 08:43

And if they were illegal and unlicensed then its another 3 reasons why civilians should be allowed to own guns. (from someone who doesn't own a gun)

      hein.huyser - 2013-02-24 10:20

Guns don't shoot people. People shoot people. The more we will arm ourselves the less crime we will have, and the less chances of dictatorship in government Think man, think Just imagine a robber ar night in your home and your ten year old, your twelve year old, your gran living with you, your wife and yourself each pulls a gun on this robber? Nope, more guns will stop the crime spree robbers have in this country.

      trevor.bailet - 2013-02-24 21:37

no folks. we just have to cut down the gun supply.

      trevor.bailet - 2013-02-24 23:20

more guns will lead to greater supply of guns to criminals.

This comes hot on the heals of two armed robberies yesterday in the immediate area where shots were fired at both. CIT van robbed at 1, and a liquor store at the other 2 (someone was shot and killed @ 2) Not sure this article is just the reporting on incident 2. I own a filling station business in the area and my staff are very concerned!

      Tuner - 2013-02-24 14:27

What "traditional white neighborhood" is still white? The likelihood of them not being white is 80%!

  • AnthonyfromAfrica - 2013-02-24 08:19

. When they catch this murderer(s), he can just claim he was being attacked, phone Barry Roux, and tomorrow evening he will be sleeping in his own bed again!! Easy !!

      Calvin Mbhele - 2013-02-24 11:58

@bignews, with so many foreigners living in a country like SA I question your ability to think,Thobi might sound stupid by I agree with Thobi,if they are white, its family matters/skin hatred, if they are indian its drug deal went wrong,if its colored well, there was no reason, what did you call me bro? BANG BANG, and if they are black, it could be taxi violence or another robbery. Call me stupid but you know I'm right!

  • Mpho Chris Brown Moreki - 2013-02-24 09:48

      Calvin Mbhele - 2013-02-24 11:52

  • wessel.jordaan.3 - 2013-02-24 12:25

@calvin mbhele...Calvin the rference to township was not meant to slander a specific race group, if it cam over as such I apologise profusely as it was not intended.I know the mysery and squalor that people live/d in the previously known townships....that squalor and misery has been distributed country wide as the criminal elements have a wider picking/killing field and ALL the hard working honest people are targets...each and everyone! We have the power to change that with a vote and honest self preserving vote for our families, friends and good people we dont even know. Stop voting with emotion and ill place loyalty people...the 'old SA'is history vote for life... yours and that of our childrens children!

      Calvin Mbhele - 2013-02-24 14:35

@WesselJ,well well well, you are a man, apology accepted!!! I get your point and I applaud the way you seem so different to most of the News24 users who chooses not to grow up. Point taken Sir!!!
